Family Pictures

So the last time Jake and I had our pictures taken was two years ago for our engagement photos. We figured it was about time to get them done again with the new family member and all. It was also my moms birthday. So I decided that it would be fun to have her come and take some pictures with her first grandchild. Now all we need is the three other grandparents to get there photos taken. We are so thankful for Jenny Wounder for taking the time to photograph us.

I love the pictures with Jake and the monster girl.

Its crazy how different she looks. Payton was only 6 weeks old . My baby girl is growing up so fast!It was kinda funnie, Payton did not like having her clothes on. She was very fussy but the second we took them off she was very happy. Our little nudest! Then she pooed in Jakes hand. It was so funnie how she waited till the clothes came off and daddy was holding her. He stayed so calm too! He just cuped his hand and smiled I would have screemed!

Beach Day

Payter's First beach trip! We went with some friends. I have to say it was not the smartest thing Jake and I decided to do. It was way to early in the season. It was so cold and windy. I think I was eager because I didn't get to go to the beach last summer due to my pregnancy sickness. And growing up we went to the beach many times during the summer. I want PPayton to enjoy it as much as I did. We brought a little tent for her to hang out and take naps. She did not have a good day. And she didn't get to wear her super cute bathing suit. Poor girl I felt so bad. AND SAND GETS EVERYWHERE!! I remember my mom freaking out over the sand and I would think "Whats the big deal mom were at the beach?" Well now that I am a mother I can see where she was coming from. Hopefully the next beach trip will be better. We did take some pictures. And a video clip.

Piper got to come. She attracted alto of attention. Shes so pretty. I wish we could have brought Sally. She would have loved it.

Ladybugs Blessing Day

This was an exciting day for us. March 29,2009 Payton was blessed. She looked just like an angel. These Pictures dont do justic of how beautiful she looked. Jake gave her a wounderful blessing. Im so greatful to have a Husban that has the Priesthood. After church we had an open house. Friends and family came to visit. It was also our first time showing off the house. Our Home

So a year and six months after being married we bought our first home. I have to say that this was all done by Jake. We first started looking for our home in June right after we found out we were pregnant. We looked all over Stockton and we were looking at foreclosed homes. It was a shock to see how poorly people treated there property. And it was very discouraging for us knowing that we would have to be the ones fixing up the home. Jake did all the searching I did the complaining. I was just so sick! Walking into those homes that had been closed up for who knows how long. Finally after submitting dozens of offers and being disappointed. Jake found a home that had just gone up on the market. It just happen to be in the neighborhood that we wanted and was large enough for our family to grow. We placed an offer as soon as we could and two weeks later we got it!!!!! I couldn't believe it. It was a house that we both thought "yeah right like that's going to happen." But it did. It had a lot of work that needed to be done. Jake went right to work. Working full time and doing school full time he somehow found time to work on the house. Racing against time to get in there before the baby came. He worked so hard. We moved in February 14Th. And we are still working on the house. But its our house. And were so grateful for that blessing.

The house looks very different now. We had to go through and sand down the walls to get the smell out. Then we primed and then paint. Same for the ceilings. Jake riped up all the nasty carpet and tile. Just taking out the carpet made the house bearable for me to be in there. Jake laid new tile. He and his cousin did the electrical. New ceiling lights and fixtures. We sanded down the cabinets and painted them white. Steam cleaned the counters and the showers. So much work and so much work needs to be done. Ill post pictures of how the house looks later.
Jake is so excited. Can you tell?

Payter Bug

Payon Reann Harbour was born January 12,2009. She was 9 lbs 4oz and 20 inch. Yeah I know BIG BABY! My pregnancy was not easy. I was sick for about 7 months and 24 hours a day. The sickness stop just in time for the 3rd trimester. I remember the Doctor telling me it was a good thing to be sick cause it meant that the baby had strong hormones and it was less likely to miss carry. I distinctly remember thinking "That's great can you give me some drugs or something to make me better." I really thought that she was going to be a difficult baby because of the sickness and then the labor. I was in labor for 35 hours witch resulted in a c-section. Yeah it sucked! But it was all worth it. Payton is the most easy going baby. She is happy all the time and just chill. I believe that she gets that from her father because I am not "chill". She truly is a joy. I love watching her with her daddy. There is something about the relationship between a father and his daughter. You can tell that she looks at him as her hero. The second we found out that we were having a girl both Jake and my jaws dropped. We were so convinced that we were having a boy. We were excited but shocked. I saw something interesting happen to Jake in those few minutes. I could see all the sudden this little being inside me 100% had her daddy wrapped around her little finger. And its true. Jake is a wonderful father who would do anything for his Payters. I'm so grateful to have him as my husband and the father of my child. Payton is a strong baby! We think she will be athletic. It almost seems that she is good at everything she does. Of course that is coming from her mommy. From birth she was able to hold her head up. She is now able to do her daily 10 min of tummy time. She is cooing and giggling. So close to rolling over and sits up on her own for a few sec. She can grab her toys and bring them to her mouth. And has taken an interest in sally our border collie.
